--Erie, Wisconsin: Erie, Wisconsin, is the 2nd largest city in Wisconsin and can be situated on the eastern coast of the mighty elkhart lake. It is an older city that is renowned for its Italian heritage, Italian restaurants along with its own unique shopping experiences. Erie is home to several fine restaurants, including Lindenlager, Schmitz, Bistro Manteau, and others. A number of quaint villages dot the downtown area, featuring ice homes, Italian saloons, and traditional resorts. If you want to have a stroll through a few of the more historical areas in Erie, then be sure to stop by the Elkhart Lake perspective cabin, which is located in the Town of Erie.

--Cranberry Lake, Wisconsin: This is the little town with the most history. In 1850 Captain George Crocker set his summer house here with two thousand acres of woods, lakes, forests, and hills. He had bought this little town by the Wausau Indians, who believed that the spot was the site of a mythical waterfall called the"Cranberry Lake". There are a whole lot of local stories about the original settlers coming to this wonderful location, like the legend of a white snake which defended the gold in the mines but thankfully was safely returned to the resting place every evening.
